Mutually Assured Dysfunction (demo)

This is one of two demo EPs I'm releasing to try and find bandmates for an anarcho-punk or cyberpunk band. This particular release is pretty queercore, due to the nature of being a critique of the nuclear family written by a trans person. I have plenty of additional songs I could put on an album for this (probably enough for an entire album) but I believe albums with a thesis like this one would be better with multiple perspectives. I'd love to hear input from bandmates or potential bandmates.

Some notes on this release:

  • None of the vocals are quite where I want them to be. Believe Kids is currently the closest, because it was the furthest and then I practiced for a few days to get it closer to how I want to sound. I almost went back and re-recorded the other vocals after recording Believe Kids, because I realized I can probably do them better now, but then I reminded myself this is a demo and every change I make to perfect it delays my ability to show it off!
  • I'd much rather record physical instruments, but technological limitations (primarily) forced me to use MIDI for all instruments
  • Some of the songs I can't quite play on the guitar/bass yet, at least not at the right tempo
  • Most of these songs had their guitar part primarily written on a real guitar and their bass part written on a real bass guitar. All drums were written in MIDI with DrumGizmo and the Crocel drumkit. The guitar part of Believe Kids was written in MIDI due to a broken guitar
